The 4-th Learning, Teaching and Training Activities (LTT) for teachers who are part of Magic of the Frame – Teach with documentary film! project was held in Lovech.The LTT program continued with discussions, sharing different interesting points of view and different perspectives.
The meeting was focused on key activities like the documentary screening and discussions.
Teachers’ work started with screening a documentary focused on the significance of water in Lovech’s Old city bath, Deli Hamam. The film emphasized the historical and cultural importance of water and how its availability shaped the community over the centuries. The Documentary underlined the cultural significance of water in daily life and the challenges of water scarcity in historical contexts and its modern-day relevance.
Work with students was part of the LTT in Bulgaria where the importance of water, not only as a main source of life but as an element that holds emotional and cultural significance was discussed.
Understanding the emotional symbolism of water: how water, through its different states, mirrors human emotions and feelings. The participants were asked to write down a feeling or emotions that they feel while watching different states of water – calm water, flowing water, storm, boiling water, drought. All participants were asked to reflect on a time in their lives when they experienced one of the emotions connected with one of the states of the water. The colleagues from the project were asked to facilitate the students and work in groups. 2 students and one facilitator from the project participants formed groups and had to make a presentation with two slides covering the two topics: Water as a life source; Practical advice for water conservation
The next sessions during day 2 and 3 were dedicated to discussing project results followed by discussion, feedback and suggestions from the participants.
The meeting concluded with importnat organizational questions as of deadlines and preparation of next meetings.
